Schachermayer GmbH is committed to making its websites accessible in accordance with the Web Accessibility Act (WZG), as amended, implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (OJ L 327, 2.12.2016, p. 1).
This accessibility statement applies to the website hello-yellow.at.
Status of Compatibility with the Requirements
This website is partially compliant with conformity level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1” and with the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (2018-08) due to the following incompatibilities and exemptions.
Non-accessible Content
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:
a) Non-compliance with accessibility regulations
-
Some non-decorative images are missing alternative text, making this information inaccessible to screen reader users. This fails to meet WCAG success criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text Content).
-
The website contains third-party videos (e.g., YouTube). We cannot guarantee that alternatives for image and sound are provided for such content, as it is outside the control of Schachermayer GmbH. Thus, some WCAG guideline 1.2 success criteria may not be met.
-
Interactive elements like buttons or links are visually highlighted using color only, without additional visual cues, which contradicts WCAG success criterion 1.4.1 (Use of Color). In some areas, the color schemes for text and background may not meet the required contrast ratio, violating WCAG criterion 1.4.3. Additionally, certain non-text elements, such as visual indicators on buttons or graphic controls, may have insufficient contrast with adjacent colors, thereby failing WCAG 1.4.11.
b) Disproportionate burden
Our videos are hosted and published on the YouTube platform. For some of these videos, it is not feasible to provide the required audio descriptions. As a result, WCAG success criterion 1.2.5 (Audio Description – prerecorded) is not fulfilled. We consider the remediation of this issue to be a disproportionate burden as defined by accessibility regulations.
Our website contains interactive elements and graphic content that do not fully comply with WCAG success criteria 1.4.1 (Use of Color), 1.4.3 (Contrast), and 1.4.11 (Non-text Contrast). Modifying these elements—such as redesigning color schemes and graphical controls—would require significant technical changes and resource investment. After careful consideration, we have concluded that implementing these measures currently constitutes a disproportionate burden under accessibility law, as it could significantly hinder the delivery of our core content and services.
c) Content not within the scope of applicable legal requirements
Third-party content that is not under the control of Schachermayer GmbH is excluded from Directive (EU) 2016/2102. Therefore, no guarantees can be made about the accessibility of such third-party content.
