THE ONLY VELODROME IN AUSTRIA
The “hello yellow” Velodrome is going to be a place of encounter, which can be used for free by employees and guests – after completing an introductory training course by the Velodrom Linz Association. Click here for the course registration.
Opening times: daily from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (until further notice)
The Track
The hello yellow velodrome is designed as an open oval made of Accoya wood with a lap length of 200 meters and a width of around six meters. Construction started in September 2021. The track has been in operation since July 2022.
Please observe the track rules and always show consideration for the other active riders in the velodrome.
Consideration & Attention
In case of rain and wet road conditions, usage is NOT possible. SLIPPERY SURFACE!
Minimum age is 12 years, ages 12 to 16 allowed only when accompanied by an adult
Only track bikes are allowed. NO road or racing bikes!
Participation in the training provided by Velodrom Linz is mandatory
Please bring: clip-in pedals, shoes, cycling attire, cycling gloves, helmet, and track bike
Maximum of 28 riders are allowed on the track simultaneously
After completing the training, you will receive an access card (non-transferable)

Webcam Velodrom
MYLAPS Timing System
In April 2024, a MyLaps timing antenna was installed in the start/finish area. This allows precise measurement of personal lap times on the 200-meter track. The corresponding chip, ProChip Flex, which is mounted halfway up the front fork, can be subscribed to via mylaps-speedhiveshop.
The lap times recorded by the individual chips/transponders can be viewed via Sporthive
in the hello yellow Velodrome by Schachermayer.
Alternatively, they can also be accessed personally using the Speedhive app on your smartphone.
